Folk i skogen equality index
The swedish forestry industry is hopelessly far behind when it comes to representation and equal pay. We were approached by the organisation NYKS – Nätverket för yrkesverksamma kvinnor och ickebinära i skogsbranschen – to highlight the problem. The concept Folk i skogen (Forest people) was born. It’s an annually updated online index telling the truth about the numbers – women and non binary people are not getting hired as senior executives within forestry. This, despite the university alumni gender ratio being close to 50/50. The index and the campaign demonstrate which companies are to avoid if you’re looking for a modern workplace that understands that the future is equal.
